And coming in at the last minute....

Mummy has been taking me ALL OVER lately as she is doing some sort of photo thingy on our village.
We have been out today and she has taken lots of photos.
The sky has been really lovely!
I am hoping we go to the beach soon, but don't worry about me, boy the walks!
Still! I'll sleep tonight.

Grey Skies!

Mummy and I have had SOME fun this week, but the weather is really horrible.
The other day we went up Church House Lane to the church yard!
Can you see the sky getting ready to throw the rain down on us?
We JUST got home in time!

Still, things can only get better!

somebody was giving away free dog toys and balls!

Munny responed and we received the stuff!

SO I have been out EVERY day with mummy running after the balls!

Wednesday's Sky!

We walked all the way round here on Wednesday morning!

This is just so typical of the skies we have been having this week!

It has poured down all day today!
I really missed my walk!

BUT!
EVEN IF IT IS RAINING AGAIN TOMORROW I KNOW MUMMY HAS A PACK A MAC THINGY!
SHE AND DADDY BOTH HAVE ONE...THEY GOT THEM TO GO TO THE ISLE OF MAN RACES!

Yesterday I was down on the beach for a full hour..................
home for a sleep?
Well that's what I was thinking.......
instead mummy took me up Handale again, but this time we went beyond the duck pond!
All the time mummy was throwing my ball!

No sooner did I fetch it for her, she threw it again!

We were out for a whole hour!

So today a little nap!

The Beach...well you can't have too much of a good thing!

Today mummy and I went to the beach!
We played for a whole hour!
We went yesterday as well so I was tired.....!

Daddy had smuggled it under the motorbike seat!
Mummy had done all the packing so he had to keep it secret!




We gave daddy the card to give to mummy!
Daddy bought her a special badge which she is wearing all of the time!

It is debatable which letter represents which act. The less common interpretation assumes that X represents the four lips of a kiss and O the four arms of a hug. For example, the Oxford English Dictionary states that X is "used to represent a kiss, esp. in the subscription to a letter."[1] A more common interpretation assumes X as the crossed arms of a hug and O as the puckered lips of a kiss. Also, the order is normally spoken "Hugs and Kisses" which would correspond to the order that the X's and O's are written. Additionally, there is a more simple interpretation, based on the pronunciation of the letters X (sounds like 'kiss') and O (sounds like 'hold', as in 'I hold you').

The use of XOXO goes back to the use of an X or cross, which was considered as good as a sworn oath in times before most people could write and therefore used the X in the same way a signature is used today — a mark of one's word. An X at the end of a letter or document was often kissed as a seal of honesty, in much the same way one would kiss a Bible or kiss the fingers after making the sign of the Christian cross. Thus the X came to represent a kiss in modern times.

The "X" was also the ancient Paleo Hebrew letter Tav, and was a symbol of the Seal of Hashem (God) and it represented truth, completeness, and perfection.

The origins of the O as a hug are not generally known, although it is speculated that it may represent the arms wrapped around someone being hugged.

Well there you go, we learn something new every day!

Good to be back!

It is great to have mummy and daddy back.
They came to collect me yesterday and I was really pleased to see them.
Auntie Jane told them I had been a good girl.

This morning mummy took me down to the beach.
We played for a whole hour.
Mummy threw the ball and I ran and ran.

The cliffs are on the coast, further up is Whitby, then Scarborough, Filey and Flamborough Head

This is the North Sea where the ferry travelled over to Holland.

At the other side of the beach, further up the Coast is Newcastle, where the ferry left for Ijmuiden.


I am going to have a rest now as I am tired after my morning exercise.
Mummy has lots to do so I will have a sleep.
